Anyway, I had fun writing this part; I believe it’s the right balance between a bit of fanservice and something definitely more valuable. (Not saying that fanservice isn’t worth our time, but, you know… there’s more to life than that. 😊)

This is the little comic we made as reward for our Patreon in April (yes… we’re late), which is an adaptation for the story that I wrote a couple of years ago, Promise.
One day, I hope that I’ll be able to show you something more about Cynthia’s past. I doubt we’ll ever have the time to make her story into a comic, but a little novel wouldn’t hurt. Who knows…

❗ (If you’ve found yourself confused during the reading, maybe you missed the “Just like the Moon” comic; if you did, I strongly recommend you to read it, here) ❗
We teased you a lot before publishing this new part. I don’t know if what happened here was what you were expecting, or more/less than that. Anyway, I’ll let you know that there are a lot of hints hidden in the pages you’ve just read; hints that explain an important part of Jack and Cynthia’s personality and could help you understand them more as real characters.
Back then, when Black Jack was being published, we received a lot of criticism; particularly, I was dispraised for my poor narrative and behavioral choices towards the characters. Today, I am here to prove you that I’m growing as artist and that I can offer you a great story, with great characters, even without resorting to porn or other expedients just to grab your attention. Because I listened to everything you said, even things you had better kept for yourself, and used them to improve more and more. That’s the kind of artist I am.

Ed ecco l'episodio 0.1 di J servito anche in italiano! Rem mi ha avvisato del fatto che potrebbero mancare delle sillabe a qualche dialogo… ho ricontrollato tutte le tavole personalmente e non ho trovato alcuna mancanza, se qualcuno le notasse lo scriva qua sotto che sistemo. 😅
Non ho molto da dire su questo episodio, se non che sono contenta di aver potuto far interagire Cynthia, Stella e Zac tutti insieme senza preoccuparmi che qualche fan mi svangasse i… ci siamo capiti, e che non vedo l'ora di concludere J con la prossima parte per attaccare con il sequel vero e proprio. Ma la prossima cosa su cui lavoreremo sarà Operation Dinnertime, quindi ci sarà da aspettare.
