Choose a theme for a special illustration to be released in late March! 🍰 (from 01/03 to 08/03 12:00 AM UTC+1)
Hi everyone! It is with deep enthusiasm that I open the first poll of the month to choose the main theme for March’s Special Illustration!
Q: How does it work?
A: It’s quite simple: you choose a single theme from the poll, then, when the poll is closed, we’ll pick the 3 themes which have been voted the most and use those ideas for three illustrations – with the most voted theme getting the most refined illustration. However, that’s just the first round of the vote. The second round will take place on Patreon, where to every patron will be granted access to certain polls, depending on the tier they belong to. Those new polls will develop the chosen themes and let patrons specifically choose what kind of illustration they’d like to see, amongst a pool of sub-themes selected by us. Then, those illustrations will be available on Patreon and accessed only by the respective tier – for example, the illustration chosen by poll 1 will be available for all the tiers up to 1, the one chosen by poll 2 will be available for tiers up to 2, and so on.
Q: So, people on Tumblr/DA won’t get to see those illustrations?
A: Wrong. Since there’s no paywall, everything we put on Patreon will eventually be posted on Tumblr and DA, but with some delay: illustrations for lowest tier will be published here after 10 days from the release on Patreon, those for middle tier will be published after 20 days and those for (current) highest tier, after a month.

At last, here we are: final episode of BJ. Part 1 of… I don’t know, I still haven’t decided how to split the pages.
In the last 4-6 months (maybe more), this comic has been criticized by a lot of people. That’s why, at one point, we almost decided to drop this comic altogether. Almost. But in the end, we’re still here. And I’m glad we are, nonetheless.
So, we pick up where we left off in Episode 7. Jack is in Meadowlands, having his personal exploration of the place before the actual mission takes place. But just then, he recalls something…

Since Jack is kind of a exhibitionist and has this habit of training the new recruits shirtless… yes, Cynthia has seen him half naked a lot of times without needing to spy on him. But she doesn’t like his scars too much…
(According to Jack himself, the reason why he takes his shirt off during training is that he’s more comfortable that way. You know, the “I can move more freely” excuse. But I do believe he secretly wants to make a spectacle of himself…)
Now you can submit your own question to receive a drawn answer for it! Just be sure to read carefullythis postfirst, and you should be okay.
In the face of that question, an electrical discharge seemed to pass through Cynthia Walker. Her ears suddenly perked up, her amber eyes widened and her paw, which had been lazily lying on the desk up until that moment, twitched and hit the pen nearby.
It fell to the ground and rolled to the feet of Jack Savage. At that point, the hare corrected his sentence: “… Chamomile?”
“I…” the fox looked at him, shocked. “You surprised me, Mr. Savage.”
“I didn’t mean to” he replied, dryly. “You had your head resting on the desk, so I thought you had fallen asleep.”
Judging by her foggy eyes, his deduction was probably quite correct. However, if he had got to know her a bit, Cynthia would have never admitted it.
“You caught me in a weak moment.” She immediately played defense, and Jack couldn’t help but sigh because of that predictable reaction.
“It wasn’t supposed to be a criticism, Miss Walker.” … Despite his resignation to her attitude – or, maybe, because of that – the hare left the cup next to the pile of files rising from her desk – otherwise, there was a good chance that she would have refused it. “Drink it, if you want, or simply throw it. Your choice.”
Cynthia stared at him, blankly, and tilted her head. “Why you…?”
But he immediately cut her off. “I’ll leave you to your business. If you need help, give me a call.” With that, Jack Savage gave her a slight nod and proceeded to leave the office. When he reached the door, she called him.
“Jack.” She just pronounced his name, nothing more than that… but somehow, that mere word managed to be more eloquent than any other sentence they had said that day.
Jack turned and smiled at the fox. “You’re welcome” he replied, to save her the effort of saying words she wasn’t used to. “Good work, Cynthia.”
In his mouth, her name had a bittersweet taste.

This is the first story I have ever write on Jack and Cynthia, and the sketch that introduces it is also the first original drawing Rem has made to represent Cynthia. Really, both story and art are so old. The date is August 2, 2016. 20fucking16. It’s hard to believe that we managed to come this far… but we did; today, we’re still here, making what make us happy. Is there something more wonderful? 💖
